MeasurePublicInnovation
Welcome to the network for measuring public innovation
Monday, 23 March 2009 23:44

Public sector innovation is now recognized as a vital factor in meeting the challenges of globalization and demographic changes, and at the same sustaining a high level of public services to citizens and businesses. However, efforts to better understand and to promote public sector innovation are greatly hindered by a great lack of quantitative evidence. There is a pressing need for a common conceptual framework of public innovation and guidelines for collecting internationally comparable data covering the main dimensions of public sector innovation.

The purpose of this network for measuring public innovation is to provide a portal with information on the wide range of work in this area and to establish a broad international cooperation on the development of a measurement framework for public innovation.

This website is part of a Nordic project on measuring public innovation ("Copenhagen Manual"), initiated by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and includes a consortium of research and statistics institutions from the Nordic countries. Further the project has been co-financed by NICe. The project is lead by DAMVAD, a Danish-based research and consulting company. For detailed information on the project, please click here.

We hope you find this website useful and welcome any feedback on its contents.
